Final piece; Part one

What originally started as a shoe has ended with just a flower designed that I got inspired from the embroidery off the shoe itself.

I think I kind of designed the wallpaper/curtain design I want to do for my final piece last night. Its contents are a Chinese lotus flower and a leaf design. It is such a simple design, but I love it so much. I’m not 100% whether I would like to use colour, or just leave it monochrome? It going to be print screened on and I was going to use a flocking to decorate, probably in a traditional colour, maybe dark red like my samples. Here is what I designed

(Sorry about the watermarking, I don’t want people taking my ideas!)

I was really inspired by William Morris’s wallpaper on this one. It’s a really traditional design, which is exactly what I wanted to achieve! I’m so happy with it. But on the other hand I was also inspired by the artist Dee Beale, which is a few posts down! I originally just had to flowers and the leaves, and then I coloured the background and spaces, to have an inspired piece. Here you go! A piece both traditional and contemporary inspired.

Just a short post, Just wanted to share what I created!
